Azerite gear will be tradable next week and an the Artifact Power catchup will be activated, meaning you’ll need less AP to level up your Heart of Azeroth.
Ion admitted they’ve made a mistake with Azerite gear and the current plan is to roll out a hotfix that will take effect with weekly resets next week that makes Azerite gear tradable like other pieces of items (equipment, weapons) as long as you have something of that item level or better in that slot. The reason why they made Azerite gear non-tradable in the first place was to avoid social pressure that comes with Personal Loot and Azerite gear complexity. They didn’t want players to abuse the system by checking out possible Azerite traits and pick the player and/or class that would benefit most from that item.
Artifact Power Catchup
Starting next week, the amount of Artifact Power needed to level up your Heart of Azeroth will be reduced, meaning each rank will need less Artifact Power and the amount will continue to decrease every week. In Legion, we’ve ended up with big numbers for the Artifact Knowledge multiplier and they want to avoid that in Battle for Azeroth.
